What Elijah says about the Master's in Bioinformatics
Introducing Elijah
Hi! My name is Elijah and I'm the student ambassador for the Master's programme in Bioinformatics. I am happy to answer any questions you might have about the programme, courses, student life, and life in Lund and Sweden via the Unibuddy Platform, where you can chat with me (see below). Please note that I cannot answer questions about the application process, scholarships, or residence permits.
Why did you choose Lund University?
"I chose Lund University because I believe that it's the best of the two universities that offer my programme of interest in Sweden. Another reason is its international ranking."
What are your first impressions of your programme? Does it meet your expectations?
"Yes, it does meet my expectations. It's been an interesting learning journey with new challenges."
What have been the highlights of your first months in Lund?
"The city is serene and cultural with a unique blend of modern and medieval amenities. The people are warm and kind and it is fun living amongst a vast student population."
What do you think of the teaching style in Sweden?
"I think the teaching style is dynamic, well-structured, practical-oriented, and fast-paced. Students can communicate freely with their teachers, teaching assistants, and study advisors."
How international is your programme?
"It's quite international because my class is made up of European, African, North and South American, and Asian students."
What are you most looking forward to in your programme?
"I hope to develop the skills and aptitudes to pursue a rewarding career after the studies, as well as connect with renowned professionals in my field."
Stay tuned! A more comprehensive testimonial from this student will be published once they have completed their first semester at Lund and have more insights to share about their programme.
